United Kingdom (Superman Version)

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (usually shortened to just the United Kingdom or the UK) is a small island sovereign state in Europe. It is one of the wealthiest and most influential countries in the world, at one point being the center of the largest empire in human history, with the British Empire governing one quarter of the globe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

United Kingdom was one of the major nations that mobilised during World War I. It was a dominant force in the Allied Powers which fought, and triumphed over the Central Powers. During the end of the war, Wonder Woman visited the capital, city, with several of her companions and was present at the Armistice Day celebrations at Kings Cross Station.

21 years later, the UK again mobilized with the Allied Powers, this time against the Axis Powers in World War II, and proceeded to occupy Germany after the latter nation's defeat in the 6-year conflict. When Superman was learning to fly after being taught his powers in a scout ship by his father Jor-El's hologram, he flew across the White Cliffs of Dover in the nation's south.

London is the capital city of England, and by extension the United Kingdom. In a possible future, the city serves as home to Rip Hunter and his family, and is one of the last free territories outside of Vandal Savage's domain. After Barry Allen returned from the speed force It was revealed that Julian Albert had returned to London and left Team Flash. In 1895, a secret society, named the Order of the Shrouded Compass, arose. Rip Hunter described the society as having "an obsession with the occult". Their beliefs include the magical properties associated with the total lunar eclipse, also known as the blood moon.

Future

In approximately 2152 in a possible future timeline, Vandal Savage assumed control of the Kasnia Conglomerate and used his power and influence to take over the world. London served as one of the last free cities of resistance outside of his control, but by 2166 it too fell to Savage's armies. During the siege of the city, Savage sought out and murdered Miranda Coburn and Jonas, killing them as retribution for Rip Hunter's numerous attempts on his own life.

Newcastle is a city in the northern parts of England. After Astra Logue was possessed by a demon, John Constantine summoned a greater demon, Nergal, wishing it to pull the lesser demon back, but instead it killed the girl and damned her to hell.
