The Promised Land is an alternative dimensional world that has a spiritual link with the Earth realm. The Promised Land is a place where the items lost in the human world gain physical form. As memories are a vital need in the Promised Land, objects that lose their name would ultimately lose themselves and fade into nothingness. From the nothingness, these lost objects turn into ghostly specters called Nanashi that are driven by a desire for a name to become complete beings again. Luckily, once an object is found in the real world, the resident is able to spiritually return to its owner.

Kiria

  • Kiria is a resident of the Promised Land featured in Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries. Kiria was originally a pen from the human world who ended up in the Land of Bliss alongside his oldest friend Raudo.

Esaruto

• Esaruto
  • Esaruto is a resident of the Promised Land featured in Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries. Esaruto's past existence in the human world is a mystery, but he mainly serves Judam by projecting images of beauty for her. But when Kouga Saezima confronts Judam, Esaruto ends up being hit by his mistress's deflected spell and ceases to be.

Raudo

  • Raudo is a book spirit featured in Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries.

Kaoru

• Kaoru
  • Kaoru is a Small Makai Dragon that Kouga Saezima received from Rekka. Kouga primarily uses her to track targets down. After the events of Red Requiem, Kouga is given a Small Makai Dragon from Rekka to use if he ever needs her help. On the way back home, Zaruba gives the Small Makai Dragon the name Kaoru. During the events of Makai Senki, Kaoru was employed by Kouga to help him before she was seemingly destroyed by Sigma Fudou. However, she was brought back by Rekka and she continued to serve him as his tracker.

Meru

• Meru
  • When Kouga arrived to the Promised Land during the events of Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries, the Small Makai Dragon became a blue-skinned girl who takes on the name Meru while accompanying her master on his goal. However, Meru became targeted by judam on the grounds of her being a beautiful object and attempted to sacrifice her to the Maryu when Kouga and Kiria save her. It was only after her true identity is revealed that Kaoru reverts to her true form and rejoins Kouga as he returns to his world

Judam

• Judam
  • Judam is the main antagonist of Demon Dragon of the Blue Cries. Like many of the residents of the Promised Land, Judam was an object created by humans yet discarded and forced to make a new life for herself as queen of the Green Castle. Feared by many in the Promised Land for her ability to read their names and erase it to reduce an object into nothingness, Judam despises those she considers ugly while having her forces gather the most beautiful objects in the realm to consume.
  • Though she praises humans for their ability to create things of beauty, Judam admits she harbors a deep seeded grudge against them for discarding her and other things without a second thought. Ultimately, her scheme was to become one with the legendary dragon Maryu so she can use its power to enter the human world and render all into nothingness. However, she meets her end at Kouga's hands while accepting his apology for humanity's actions against her.
