Hikari Saga : The Tragedy on Arb Curious about the planet Aarb, the being later known as Ultraman Hikari flies down to the surface. The people of Aarb sense the pureness of his heart, and materialize before him. They explain that their peace will soon be disrupted, if the prophecy of Tsurugi is correct. Hikari says he will save them, and flies off to a distant planet. There, he meets someone in a cloak, and tells him he is looking for a warrior from many legends.

The cloaked being summons a storm, and tells Hikari to calm it. He does, and the being reveals himself to be Ultraman King. Ultraman King gives Hikari the Knight Brace, and tells him to only use it with a pure heart. Hikari then flies off to Aarb. He is too late, and Bogar has already begun its attack. Hikari becomes angry, and attacks Bogar in anger. King warns him of losing his heart, but Hikari continues attacking. He eventually reflects one of Bogar's fireballs back at it, and it retreats. The people of Aarb enter Hikari, forcing him to become Hunter Knight Tsurugi. Hikari, now on a quest for revenge, follows Bogar to Earth.



Hunter Knight Tsurugi Once the guardian of the advanced planet of Aabu, Tsurugi lost to the dreadful Bogal and the space demon destroyed the planet. All those that opposed it were devoured and in the course of just a few days, the world was dead. The guardian wandered the devastated landscape, mourning the loss of those he had come to love. As he traveled the decimated planet, the vengeful spirits of those killed began to gather in the hero. The Ultra was transformed into something else. The spirits formed armor and he was transformed into Hunter Knight Tsurugi.

As Tsurugi was engulfed in flames, Mebius rescued him and flew him out of the magnetic barrier just as the exit closed, containing the gigantic explosion perfectly. Bogal was finally destroyed, but the death of her cost Tsurugi dearly. His energy was spent and his body died, but as he lay still before Mebius, a golden light fell from the heavens and lifted him into the air. He was transported to the Ultra Mother where her powers could breathe a new form of life into the warrior of vengeance.



Ultraman Mebius : Hunter Knight Tsurugi The events after the first Saga episode occur throughout the Ultraman Mebius series. Hikari (as Tsurugi) arrived on Earth, at the time of his arrival, Crew GUYS were having their first battle after long training. Many members of the team died during the arrival of the monster Dinozaur, who easily destroyed almost every member of the team, among them Captain Serizawa who crashed into the monster and supposedly died in the explosion.

However, when his ship blew up, the explosion expelled him, and he was taken by Tsurugi, as he found that he needed a human form or host to live on the planet, to get revenge on Bogar. However, unlike other Ultra/human mergers, when Tsurugi was in his human vessel, the human was completely controlled by him. When Ultraman Mebius was fighting Sadola, he was saved once by Tsurugi, who made many appearances whenever Bogar appeared.



Hikari Saga : A Warrior's Training Shortly after his time on Earth, Hikari is flying through space. He us suddenly attacked by a Bemstar, and forces it onto an asteroid below. The two battle on the ground, but Bemstar proves to be too powerful for Hikari. Just as Bemstar is about to finish him off, Zoffy appears before Hikari. He tells Hikari not to waste the new life Mother of Ultra gave him, and reminds him of the human he is combined with.

Hikari realizes what it means to be an Ultraman, and fights Bemstar with Zoffy. After a long fight, Hikari and Zoffy manage to destroy Bemstar. Zoffy welcomes Hikari into the Space Garrison, and Ultraman King watches from afar. Suddenly, another Bemstar flies past, and Hikari wants to go after it, as it was headed to Earth. Zoffy reminds him that Mebius is on Earth, and believing in your allies is part of being in the Space Garrison. Hikari understands, and they both fly off.

Hikari Saga : Return of Light After the events of the last chapter, Hikari appears before Father of Ultra, Mother of Ultra, and Zoffy. He asks to be assigned to Earth, and after persuasion from Zoffy, Father agrees. Hikari takes off, but sees Mebius's Ultra Sign, saying he is waiting for Hikari on Aarb. Hikari goes to Aarb, but is suddenly attacked by Mebius. Hikari realises the trick, and fends "Mebius" off. "Mebius" then transforms to resemble Hunter Knight Tsurugi, and Hikari fights him off too.

The imposter reveals himself to be Alien Babarue, and Father recognizes him as the one who stole the Ultra Key many years ago. Babarue taunts Hikari, then asks him to join him. Babarue freezes Hikari, and offers again, but is still refused. As Babarue prepares to leave, Hikari is visited by the spirits of Aarb, who free him, and he dawns the Armor of Revenge once again, only this time for good. Ultraman King explains the armor is now good, and names it the Armor of the Hero. Hikari uses the armor to get the upper hand when fighting Babarue, but he escapes. Hikari then takes flight to Earth, chasing him.



Mebius Side Story : Armored Darkness While the Subordinate weeped, Mirai informed him that Ryu was alive, saved by the power of Ultraman King. He revealed that after Alien Emperor's defeat, Armored Darkness had been known for some time and Ultraman Hikari was sent by Ultraman King to destroy it before it could reach Earth, but the Armor's strength overpowered him and possessed him.

Thus Ultraman Hikari was inside Armored Darkness, being possessed underneath it. Shortly after Ryu reappeared unharmed, the original members of CREW GUYS arrived to assist Mirai and Ryu in the battle, and just in time as Armored Darkness was just awakening to resume its battle against Ultraman Mebius. Noting that Armored Darkness still had the open wound on its forehead, Ryu flew his plane ejected from it and flew into the wound.

Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie Ultraman Hikari reappeared along with Ultraman Mebius to battle Ultraman Belial on the Land of Light, along with the other available members of the Space Garrison. He fought with Mebius against the evil Ultra but was ultimately beaten by a blast from the Giga Battle Nizer. Afterwards he frozen when Belial stole the Plasma Spark but was revived by Zero when the Plasma Spark was returned. Afterwards, he went with all the other Ultramen to the hear Ultraman King's speech.

Ultimate Riders Review

Ultraman Zero : The Revenge of Belial Ultraman Hikari reappeared in the movie for a short period of time when he protected the Land of Light from the army of Darclops Belial sent to attack the Ultras. He was seen in the end returning to the Land of Light.

Ultra Fight Victory When Ultraman King was alerted of Juda's revival, he mobilized Hikari,Leo, Astra and Ace to stop the emperor. Hikari invented the Knight Timbre, which is capable of sealing the emperor and made his way to Earth (Ginga's Universe), where he would find the weapon's destined user. He appeared at Shou/Ultraman Victory's battle with Aribunta, underground, stunning it with his Knight Shot and Knight Blade.

Hikari gave Ultraman Victory the Knight Timbre, which he used to transform into Ultraman Victory Knight and finish Aribunta for good. He entrusted Victory with the weapon and his mission to seal Juda in space. After Juda's defeat, Hikari congratulates the two for saving the universe, but Shou instead thanks the former, since it was his deed that bring forth the creation of Knight Timbre. He tries to return it but Hikari decides to left it in Shou's possession. Before leaving, he entrusts the Earth's future to them.
